South Carolina Department of Education Mandates Masks On School Buses
Beginning Monday, August 30, the South Carolina Department of Education is requiring that all students and staff wear masks while on school buses. This action is in accordance with CDC guidance, and is in response to rising COVID-19 infection rates statewide.
To adhere to this state mandate, all District Five students and staff will be required to wear a mask while riding the school bus. If students do not have a mask, one will be provided for them. In keeping with District Five protocol, students are not required to wear masks once they are off the bus, and on school grounds. District Five Schools strongly encourages mask wearing, but does not mandate it on our campuses.
