Spartanburg District Five is busy planning for the 2020-21 school year, while constantly monitoring the spread of COVID 19 across our state and following the guidelines from the CDC, DHEC, and the South Carolina Department of Education. We understand that anything less than a full-time, in-person school schedule may place a strain on our families. We also realize because of medically-fragile students, at-risk family members, or other concerns related to COVID 19, that some families simply might not feel comfortable returning to a traditional classroom.
As always in District Five, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Current DHEC guidelines in our state require at least six feet of social distancing in all schools and classrooms. This will greatly impact how we reopen schools in the fall, and how many students we can safely serve in our buildings and facilities at one time. We need your help in completing this brief survey, to assist the district in the planning process
