District Five Named Best Community For Music Education

namm logo For the second year in a row, Spartanburg District Five Schools has been named a "Best Community For Music Education"!  The distinction, given annually by the NAMM Foundation (National Association of Music Merchants), recognizes school districts for their commitment to, and support of music education.

Spartanburg District Five is one of only six districts in the state of South Carolina to earn the recognition.

District Five has long been a shining example of excellence in the arts, and much of that can be credited to its award-winning music, band and orchestra programs.

The NAMM Foundation awards the "Best Community" distinction every year based on surveys of communities across the country.  In addition to the quality of music programs, the surveys also focus on equity and access to music education for all students.
