Statement Regarding Student Parking At Byrnes High School
District Five administrators, along with those at Byrnes High School have released the following statement regarding student parking concerns:
Students and families,
As we prepare to begin a new school year, we understand there are concerns regarding limited student parking at Byrnes High School. Due to this, we know a number of our upperclassmen were unable to obtain parking passes this week during student registration.
Our district and Byrnes administration is aware of the problem, and has been diligently working to come up with a solution.
On Monday, August 12, from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. school staff will distribute parking passes in the Schofield gym lobby. Any Junior or Senior who DID NOT receive a parking pass during registration this week can pick up their pass at this time.
Unfortunately, at this point in time, the school cannot offer parking passes to our Sophomore students.
Just this year, our District Five Board of Trustees approved a parking lot expansion at Byrnes High School, which will hopefully alleviate this situation in the years to come.
We appreciate your patience and understanding, and look forward to welcoming all students back for the 2019-20 school year!
