District Five Kicks Off 2018-19 School Year

Student does work on the first day of class Thousands of students dusted off their backpacks, and walked into new classrooms on August 20, as District Five officially kicked off the 2018-19 school year!  The district welcomed nearly 9,000 students, and more than 1,000 teachers and staff members throughout its 12 schools.  All schools reported smooth openings, thanks in large part to dedicated teachers and administrators, and a hard working maintenance and transportation staff.

Official numbers are not in yet, but the early indications are that District Five is yet again experiencing tremendous growth in its student population.

We are excited to begin an outstanding year in District Five!
