This year's Red Ribbon Week theme is “Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free!” We want to build awareness, encourage student participation, and spread the message of making healthy, drug-free choices throughout our school community.
Yesterday was a momentous occasion for our 6th Grade Beginning Orchestra as Officer Acevedo swore them in and presented each student with their bow license. They have been working hard since the beginning of the year to learn the proper bow hold. 👏
It was a very exciting day!! The students are ecstatic! If you would like to hear them perform, their beginning orchestra showcase concert is on November 5th at the Fine Arts Center at 6:00 PM. 🎶

The RISE Class got to visit Wofford College for a Special Olympics Fall Festival! They played games, collected treats, and enjoyed lunch together! ❤️
Our 7th grade AVID students got a glimpse of college life today during their visit to Presbyterian College! Students heard from an admissions counselor, toured academic buildings, a dorm room, the library, and student common areas, and even enjoyed lunch in the dining hall!
What a great opportunity to explore college life, ask questions, and start imagining their futures! 🌟

Mr. McDonald’s students put on their thinking caps for a Wicked Hydra activity to launch their unit on the Causes of the American Revolution! 🔍 Students analyzed photos, political cartoons, and primary sources, making observations, asking questions, and uncovering connections to the events that led to the Revolutionary War! #CougarsLEAD
