I have been at D. R. Hill Middle School since August 1992 in various positions. During my first two years, I was a seventh grade Social Studies teacher. For the next twelve, I taught eighth grade South Carolina History. I also coached football during my first nine years here. Since 2006, I have served as an Assistant Principal.
Before entering the field of education, I received my B. A. Degree in History from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. After spending a year in Seminary (where I felt the "call" to become an educator), I went back to USC to earn my MAT Degree in Secondary Social Studies. While teaching at D. R. Hill, I received a second Masters Degree (in Administration) from Converse College.
I consider myself blessed to be in a field that allows me to help young people and very fortunate to work at a school like D. R. Hill.
