I have been teaching for 23 years. I have taught kindergarten, a multi-age k-1st, third grade and self-contained 3rd grade gifted and talented students. I received my bachelors' degree from Lander University in Early Childhood Education. My masters degree from Lesley University is in Curriculum Instruction: Arts Integration. I am a National Board Certified Teacher and will begin renewing my certification next year.
My Husband Terry and I were married in 2007 and I have two step-sons, a fabulous granddaughter and a new grandson. I moved to Spartanburg 4 years ago from the low contry and am enjoying a different setting.
I strive hard in developing critical thinkers and moving third grade students toward becoming independent students. My passion is reading. I have a strong belief that if you can read, you can learn anything.
