As Spartanburg District Five begins the 2020-21 school year, our top priority is keeping our 9,000 students and more than 1,000 employees safe, while also providing a high-quality education. Over the summer, a District Five task force, made up of district administrators, principals and teachers diligently worked to plan and prepare for this school year, covering every area: operations and safety, student services, and academics. After much discussion and input from our staff, parents and community, District Five developed what we thought to be the safest and best plan for our students to return to school on August 17.
We will be updating this page throughout this process, with important information regarding our Roadmap to Reopening plan, health and safety information, and other resources for our students, families, staff, and community. Please check this page often, as it is our committment to keep all stakeholders in District Five fully informed as we navigate this pandemic. Also, feel free to share your questions and feedback with us at D5Reopens@spart5.net.
Despite the challenges, we are looking forward to a successful school year in Spartanburg District Five. As always, thank you for your support—TOGETHER, WE ARE #D5STRONG.
