I was born and raised on Long Island, NY and moved down to SC in 2008 to start my first year teaching. 

My love for Germany and the German language started for me my first day of 8th grade. My teacher, Frau Fischer, was and still is my favorite of all time. She made learning fun for me, and because of her, I was able to travel to Germany for the first time at the age of 16. I was a summer nanny for a little girl in a town called Ortenburg. After that, I knew that German was the path for me, so I decided I would be a German teacher, too! I have studied in Germany at Tuebingen University and have visited several times since. 

It is my goal, to have my students love German as much as I did and still do!
