• When should a student stay home from school?
     

    ~for a temperature above 100 degrees fahrenheit
    ~having vomiting or diarrhea.
    ~uncontrollable cough
    ~suspected communicable disease (chicken pox, lice)
    ~suspected infection of the eyes (conjunctivitis aka pink eye), nose, throat (strep throat), skin (scabies, etc.), or scalp (lice)
    ~rash of unknown origin

    When can a student return to school?

    ~after being fever-free, without the help of fever reducing medication, for at least 24 hours
    ~after 24 hours of the last episode of diarrhea/vomiting
    ~after being on an antibiotic for 24 hours
