I received my B.A. from Morningside College in Sioux City, IA, majoring in Speech Communications, English Literature and Criticism, and Secondary Education. After I earned my Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from The Ohio State University, my husband and I taught in Japan for a year where we wrote a curriculum to use creative dramatics to teach English. I ran two schools and taught students ranging in age from 2 years to adults. Once we returned to the States, I earned my M.A. in Administration from Furman University, where I am also an adjunct professor. I have also served on the South Carolina Theatre Association Board as Secondary Division Chairperson.
