Spanish Honor Society
The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is an honor society for high school students who:
have an "A" after at least two years of Spanish Study
have achieved a GPA of 3.7 or better
enjoy taking part in activities related to Hispanic culture.The national Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica was founded in 1953. This society is intended for high school students enrolled in the studies of Spanish and Portuguese. There are over 1,700 national and international chapters. JFB"s chapter of the National Organization, Mi Tierra, was founded in 2005. Activities involve fundraising for the yearly spring initiation banquet and projects that benefit Hispanic peoples in this community and abroad. The faculty sponsors are Rebeca Senn & Thomas Barber
