  • The varsity wrestlers captured the Spartanburg County Wrestling Championship. (The fourth in a Row).

    The MS wrestlers finished 2nd in the upper state qualifier while the JV squad finished 5th.

    JV and MS will compete this weekend at Lexington in the Carolina Invitational.
    Varsity will compete in the final Region competition on Jan. 29 at Spartanburg HS, vs. Spartanburg and Dorman.

  • Van Adamson-Thompson Congratulations to Van Adamson-Thompson for being named a Top Ten semifinalist for the 2020 United States Senate Youth Program. He was selected after two competitive rounds that included a knowledge test, essay, and presentation. Van visited Columbia today for the final round of interviews and met State Superintendent Molly Spearman. Two finalists will be selected in December and receive a $10,000 scholarship and visit Washington D.C. in March.

    The RDA bus departure times changed (effective Monday 09/23)
    AM bus will depart BHS bus loop at 8:05 AM for RD Anderson morning classes.
    AM bus will depart RDA at 11:10 AM for B H S. Students will return no later than 11:35 for PowerHour.
    PM bus will depart BHS bus loop at 11:50 AM for RD Anderson afternoon classes.
    PM bus will depart RDA at 3:00 PM for BHS. Students will return around 3:25 for dismissal.

     Student Council collects reward points for My Coke Rewards. This program provides financial donations for schools who collect points from the participating brands. The Council is asking anyone who drinks Coke or other participating brand products to bring in the caps or codes located on the packaging. This is not a fundraiser for the Student Council but rather a project to benefit all of Byrnes High School. Visitors may drop off the rewards in the front lobby and students may give them to their teacher.
