  • 2019 Talent Show Auditions

    Talent show auditions will be on Thursday, January 24th after school in the chorus room.  Audition forms can be found on Ms. Priester's door (Room 1010). Paperwork is due to Ms. Priester by Tuesday, January 22nd.
     
    The 2019 Talent Show will be Thursday, February 21, 2019.

  • Upcoming Make-Up Days and Changes to the Calendar

    Make-Up days for days missed are built into the calendar for each school year. The following days will be make up days:

    October 11 (hurricane day) is being made up on February 18.
    December 10 (snow day) is being made up on March 29.
    December 11 (snow day) is being made up on June 3, which will be 1/2 day for students.

    The changes to our end of year calendar will be May 30 will now be a full day for students and May 31 and June 3 will be 1/2 days for students.

  • The AFJROTC Drill Team earned 1st Place overall, winning or placing in all five competition categories on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at the Strike Eagle Drill Meet in Flat Rock, NC.  This competition had a specialized format allowing only Freshman and Sophomore cadets to compete.  The newest team members stepped up to the challenge in a big way!

  • The 2018 Lady Rebel softball team has been recognized for its excellence in the classroom by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, placing 6th on the 2017-2018 Easton/NFCA High School (weighted) list with a 4.242 team GPA. This marks the 4th consecutive year that the Lady Rebels have been ranked in the Top 10. Individually, 14 softball student-athletes earned NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete honors.

  • Students, parents, and teachers: We have a Teacher of the Week incentive program at Byrnes. Nominate a teacher or co-worker for the honor by filling out this short form and help them be rewarded for doing a great job!

     Student Council collects reward points for My Coke Rewards. This program provides financial donations for schools who collect points from the participating brands. The Council is asking anyone who drinks Coke or other participating brand products to bring in the caps or codes located on the packaging. This is not a fundraiser for the Student Council but rather a project to benefit all of Byrnes High School. Visitors may drop off the rewards in the front lobby and students may give them to their teacher.
