Coach Hansen has been teaching and coaching in South Carolina public schools for fifteen years. He began his seven year tenure at James Island High School (Charleston) in 1995. After moving to the upstate, Coach Hansen had a four year tenure at Greer High and then a one year stint at Landrum High before coming to Byrnes in 2007.

 

Coach Hansen has a B.A. in Political Science from the Citadel (1992) as well as a M.A.T. in Secondary Education from the Citadel (1995).

 

Coach Hansen coaches varsity football and is responsible for coaching the offensive line. He was selected as an All-American offensive lineman at the Citadel in 1992. Coach Hansen has a three year old son, Walker.
